Motherhood is so many things and defining that seems nearly impossible - which is why we strive to capture it in all of its beauty. Truth is - motherhood has seasons and they pass by all too quickly, often quicker than we are prepared but each season offers new blessings that unfold.
This mom of two adult sons contacted me for a family photo shoot during a college break. I welcome the opportunity to work families into the schedule during special times like this. Timing is so important and working all the family into portraits takes priority.
In fact, over the years, I have become abundantly aware of how crucial these times of gatherings are to capture memories. My Thanksgiving weekend is often booked solid with family portraits because it’s a tradition where families come together. It is my honor to share in this while documenting memories for you to treasure for years to come.
Mothers are the heart of the home, and it’s precious to see these young men love their momma so much! I realize it’s not always a man’s favorite thing to poses for portraits, but these two would do anything to make momma happy. :)

When mom contacted me, she shared her desire to capture their family memories on their farm. I was mesmerized when I arrived at this sun-drenched paradise. Mom walked me around the property and we found all the golden goodness of natural light this location showcased.
Just beyond this farm road is where the sun sets daily in all of it’s glory. We highlighted beautiful memories in front of this beauty of nature.
