This mom-to-be called during her pregnancy to schedule her maternity portrait session as part of her Baby Portrait Plan. We instantly connected and she is all kinds of amazing!
I was so honored when she spoke about how she researched photographers, their portfolios, their style, their quality and more and she chose me! I was so flattered that my online presence had won her over, but then I learned they lived about 2 hours away. My heart sank - I thought I would never get to meet her - we do many clients that travel a bit to arrive at our studio - often an hour or more, but 2 hours...I just wasn't sure. I shared our location with her and the distance of travel to our studio form her home address and thought we would sadly say our goodbyes.
However, she already knew...she had researched our location and said they love to travel and would just make a fun day trip for their sessions. I was elated! I knew from speaking with her, our styles were very similar and her sessions would be amazing - and they have been just that!
For her maternity portrait session, we met at the studio for a little pampering from our hair and makeup artist prior to her maternity photo shoot. While there, we took a peek at her wardrobe selections and they were phenomenal. She chose the perfect colors, patterns, textures in her wardrobe and they photographed so beautifully. We shot at 5 locations, yes 5!!! capturing such a variety of backgrounds of nature, each beautifully selected to compliment her wardrobe choices and the style of photography that we were designing the session around. Her maternity images were stunning, romantic and showcased the love between this sweet couple.
Fast forward... her beautiful baby boy arrived and we welcomed the family back to the studio. He was the perfect little sleeper and cuddled in for a good sleep while we dressed and posed him, capturing precious newborn portrait art. At the end of the session, we focused on parent portraits highlighting the overwhelming love these parents share for their baby boy. These images are absolutely priceless and no doubt will serve as beautiful reminders of this sweet family's journey into parenthood. What I love most about capturing parent portraits during newbron session is the love 0 it's all about the love - and it shines through in every image. This little love visited from the Winston Salem area for his newborn photo shoot. We serve a large audience for portraits sessions from Kernersville to Burlington, Greensboro to Mebane, Elon to Chapel Hill, Hillsborough to Winston Salem, Durham to Summerfield, Oak Ridge to Browns Summit, Asheboro to Randleman, Graham to Gibsonville and surrounding areas. It is such an honor to know clients trust us enough to capture their treasured memories to travel from a radius of two hours away...it leaves us a little speechless to be honest.
Mom loved his open-eyed portraits, but we captured many sleepy moments too. He had the sweetest little personality, so clam and curious...looking around at his surroundings with delight when he was awake.
He looked gorgeous in this mint color, some of my favorites form his newbron portrait session. Excited to se him again soon to capture his next milestone as a Baby Portrait Planner.

The reason? The connection makes all the difference ... it defines the anticipation of the moment in a way that is beyond words.
This expecting mommy and dad-to-be are elated about the upcoming birth of their baby boy!
We met at my West Burlington Studio prior to the photo shoot for a little pampering. As one of our Baby Portrait Planners, mom was gifted complimentary styling by our hair and makeup artist prior to her maternity portrait session. She met with our stylist and chose her preferences for hair styling and makeup colors for the day. Her look was natural and beautiful, drawing attention to her amazing eyes.
Mom comes from a large family of brothers, so she enjoyed dressing up and styling for her custom maternity portrait experience.
After styling was complete, we drove to an amazing sun-lit location and captured the magic of the moment. Mom looked and felt stunning, and her maternal radiance shone through every image. And Daddy ... the look on his face says it all ... he is so ready to welcome this little one into the world! I have a feeling they are going to be amazing parents and this little boy is so loved and blessed!
